A lot of noises in the midnight People talking outside loudly, road fixing noises, market starting from 6 am...kind of annoying

disappointing

No one speak English, it was very hard to communicate. They don't have breakfast but I asked them to buy it. Just one other visitor in the hostel I felt lonely. The shower is open on the toilets it put water everywhere.

The staff is very nice and helpful!

The staff is very nice and helpful! Place is clean. And quiet. Room temperature was ok,about 25degree c bit warm after a long walk but was perfect during the night. Breakfast was a preserved sandwiches and Taiwanese sweet tea plus a banana good enough.

No toilet roll provided.

Enjoyable & pleasant stay which makes our trip to Hualien extra memorable.

Love the effort they have put to make the space extra cozy & friendly. They have elevators up to the highest floor so no worries if youre placed onto a higher level.

Very comfortable hostel with friendly owner

The B&B is in a nice location very close to the Hualien Cultural & Creative Industries Park. The owner is very friendly and helpful, definitely hospitable though his English is not very good (Google Translate may help a lot). Bed was comfy and the 8-bed dorm was large enough. There are also lockers with padlock in the room. Breakfast consisted of sandwich and milk tea and was very delicious!

City map was in Chinese only, due to language barriers I couldn’t ask the owner much about the attractions and restaurants of the city. However, he tries his best to help you using a translation app.

The staff was really helpful, even gave me a lift to the bus station<3. The place was clean and I've met some awesome people there. If I have an opportunity to go to Hualian, I will stay here again.

What was the highlight of Fairy Tale B&B

Very good overall

It was nice that the hostel provided bikes, but if you are looking to do an extended ride, like we were, the bike seats are very low so they might not be worth it if you are above 5'8". Staff was very friendly and allowed us to check in way earlier than normal, but English was very limited. The rooms are very clean and well kept. There are other hostels much closer to the train and bus station, which is where you need to go if you plan on going to Taroko. It is a good location if you are planning on going east to the nice parks or south to the islands.

I am not sure if they improved their breakfast as others have said great things about it. Our breakfast was literally take away from a nearby place (it was still wrapped in the restaurants bag). It was fried and oily.

Great little hostel/ Bed and Breakfast

Super clean twin room, staff so lovely and helpful and great breakfast. Location was also central, 20min walk from train station but it's cheap enough to grab a taxi.

We had a very pleasant time here, and wished we'd stayed...

We had a very pleasant time here, and wished we'd stayed longer. Twin room was spacious and clean, nicely decorated, and has a balcony. The host was extremely kind and helpful, allowing us to check in early, calling us taxis for a cheaper, fixed fare, and giving us plenty of informations and answers to our many questons. We enjoyed the chinese breakfast (western also available), which was different every day and included fresh fruit and vegetables. The place is a few minutes walking to the night market, and a bus stop for the train station is very close. Very recommended!

Best Stay EVER!

The host is a true gem. He made the stay full of wonderful surprises for 7 friends. Incredible attention to details. He thinks of things that we don't even think of. Constantly goes out of his way to make us happy. He works non-stop. Giving pleasure seems to be his greatest pleasure. Honestly don't think my own dear mommy could have taken better care of myself and my friends.
